Re: Reference Letter, Aaron Wickenden

To Whom It May Concern:

As a customer builder for more than 12 years, I have worked with few people who have the skills, attention to detail and leadership qualities that Aaron demonstrates.

I met Aaron on a job in Aspen, CO where he was a respected leader of his own crew, always demonstrating effective problem solving skills in an efficient manner.  Aaron was initially hired to frame the project, but it was quickly realized that his broad range of skills would be a tremendous asset throughout the completion of the project.  From meticulous framing to precisely hanging expensive paintings, Aaron revealed the qualities of a team player.

I have also had the pleasure of working with Aaron while we framed my personal residence in New York.  While working in the field side by side with Aaron, he consistently demonstrated his tremendous work ethic and his knowledge of efficient building methods.

Aaron would be a tremendous asset for any construction company.  From a high level carpenter to a project manager, Aaron has the capabilities to excel in all areas of the construction industry.

Without reservation I recommend Aaron to any construction company looking for a qualified and talented individual.

Sincerely,

Craig P. Bass

This letter is reference for Aaron Wickenden

Aaron was employed to build my family home on an underdeveloped 5 acre block in 1996.  The project was contracted to completion and speedily built in three and half months.

At first, I was apprehensive about the responsibility bestowed upon Aaron by the builder whom I subcontracted Aaron from.  However, this was quickly resolved as I observed Aaron get down and competently direct the entire project, which he did from the start with the help of two others.

From the outset, I was impressed by Aaron’s thorough workmanship, willingness to listen to my concerns and general work ethics.  I am more than happy with the finished product and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this young man’s service.

He is punctual, reliable and an extremely good craftsman.

Sincerely,
Peter White

To Whom It May Concern,

I began working with Aaron Wickenden approximately seven years ago.  He was the lead carpenter and I was the project superintendent on a 10,000 square foot custom home in Aspen, CO.  Aaron had been working on the project from the start was involved very closely with owner and architect from the ground breaking up to completion.  His knowledge and workmanship were an integral part of this project being successful.

At the end of this project, I was planning on building my own home and asked Aaron if he would be interested in working with me. He said yes.  Aaron was responsible for coordination with the architect, hiring of carpenters, onsite project management as well as working on the project.  Aaron did the foundation layout, built the footer frames and set the Styrofoam blocks for the walls.  He poured the concrete, completed all the framing, sheathing, weatherproofing, window and door installation, siding and trim, interior finishes and built two beautiful staircases.  Every day I admire his craftsmanship in my home.

When we completed my house Aaron and I decided to start a construction business called Lucky Dog Construction.  I handled the office while Aaron handled the hiring of employees and work production.  The company grew from 5 employees to 18 in the two years that Aaron and I were partners.  We performed work for many different contractors, one being Aspen Constructors.  Aspen Constructors quickly became aware of Aaron’s workmanship and on many occasions offered Aaron the opportunity to work for them.  Eventually Aaron thought it would be in the best interest of him and his family to move to a larger company so he did.  Though no longer partners, we have maintained our friendship and professional relationship.

I would highly recommend Aaron as a true craftsman.  His knowledge of construction is extensive and the pride he puts into every aspect of his job can be seen in the quality of his work.  Aaron has progressed to management of construction projects but has not lost the attention to production detail.  I think he is an amazing craftsman, honest business partner and a great friend.

Sincerely

He and his team definitely exceeded our expectations. In the end our new home is more beautiful than we had dreamed. Thank you for a job well done! To Whom It May Concern

I have known Aaron for one year as my employee.  I have found his work of excellent quality.  He is in his final year of apprenticeship and his standard of work is well above what I would expect.  In fact I put him in charge of a job in Godley Lane, Albany for a trial and ended up letting him run the entire job including the supervision of a new labourer.   The clients rang me and commented on how helpful and approachable Aaron is and I would have to agree.  He has just sat his Trade Certificate exam and I foresee an excellent future in the Building Industry.

As his boss I find him reliable, honest and very eager to learn.

Yours Sincerely

JC Smith

To Whom It May Concern

This is a letter of recommendation regarding Aaron Wickenden.

I have known Aaron for approximately six (6) years.  I met Aaron on the Mike Tanguay Personal Home Project, I project for which I had been retained to furnish design cabinetry.  Aaron and I immediately gained professional respect for one another and have worked together on several projects since.

In the time that I have known Aaron I’ve become aware of many of his capabilities and talents.  In many instances I found that he may have been over qualified for the position he has held with Aspen Constructors Inc.  I sensed that Aaron has a vast knowledge of structural engineering in design, as well as in hands on carpentry applications.  I feel he may have been more instrumental in the design of the homes he constructed as a superintendent.

As a project superintendent his management skills were excellent and he seemed well respected by his crew, his superiors, his sub-contractors and he suppliers.  His work ethic was well above the norm in all respects.  It was not unusual to find Aaron still on the job site well after the work day preparing for the next day’s projects.

In construction it is important to keep the project on schedule regardless of delays in design, labor , weather, and product to mention a few.  Aaron’s ability to problem solve allowed for his projects to run on time and in the quality that was expected.

Kitchen Design Studios is regarded as the most prestigious cabinetry showroom in the area.  It would be my pleasure to have Aaron Wickenden representing my company in any respect, from installation, to sales, to management.

If you would like additional information about Aaron, you can telephone me at (970)384-0077

Aaron is missed and we wish him the very best.
